Hi! I’m Oliver Loree, a 3rd year Mechanical Engineering student at the Georgia Institute of Technology. I’ve made this website as a place to show off my personal engineering and artistic projects, but here’s a little about me beyond the things I’ve made.
I’ve been a home tinkerer for as long as I can remember, and I have a passion for solving problems, either from textbooks or real-world machine maintenance. I believe that any challenge, no matter how difficult, is just a collection of many simple challenges, and those are easy to solve given time.
On campus, I’m involved in our new propulsive landers challenge club, working in the structures subteam on the development of our monoprop testing assemblies and the design of our 2500N hybrid engine. I also spend significant time in our student-run Flowers Invention Studio where, as a prototyping instructor, I assist students across majors in engineering or design challenges. Offshift, I’m apprenticing in our CNC department to learn 3D metal and wood CNC as well as 4 axis CNC operations on our EMCO on the path to mastery in the department.
